[EPL] 브라이튼 vs 맨체스터 시티

Brighton 0-2 Manchester City

There was a real sense of relief from the Manchester City players and fans when the final whistle blew on Monday night as they beat Leicester City to return to the top of the Premier League. It did feel like being the one really big obstacle in front of the team, but they can't take Brighton lightly with the home team looking to send their fans off to the summer with smiles on their faces.

Brighton have nothing to lose and Liverpool fans have to be hoping that means the players can express themselves and take chances, although that might not be the best way for them to earn a result. Opening up against Manchester City will surely give the visitors the best chances to exploit spaces that have been left behind, but you have to wonder if Brighton will defend with the same desire as when they were chasing the points to stay in the Premier League.

They have shown in the FA Cup Semi Final that they can frustrate Manchester City who are missing Kevin De Bruyne and just grinding their way through games. There is still enough quality to see Manchester City create the chances they need as they wear down opponents and I think that is going to be the case on Sunday.

Before the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United here, Brighton had not scored in their last 3 at the Amex Stadium. They have not scored in 3 of their 4 fixtures against Manchester City while Pep Guardiola's team have conceded a single goal in their last 6 away games in the Premier League.

Putting all that together makes my selection pretty easy for this fixture and that is backing Manchester City to win with a clean sheet. I think they will be challenged by Brighton from set pieces and could be countered if this game is goalless going into the final half hour, but Manchester City handled the Burnley threat effectively and I think they will do the same in a win here.
